Ronin is going to be an action-based RPG that uses an ATB meter (active time battle), the player will be able to freely move around the area whilst fighting an enemy but you can only land your attacks when your ATB meter is full. The aim is to be able to switch between characters and have a more tactical approach to battle, rather than jump in and obliterate your enemies.
The project is being developed in Unity currently by a team of 2 or 3 people. More details will be added as they’re included in the engine. I don’t want to use this page to talk in depth about the game play elements or plans because they may change as they’re being built into the engine and we decided what works and what’s realistic, but if you follow the blog you will find articles going through the process. I try to get a blog article out everyday no matter how small or insignificant the content is. 🙂
Anyway, there’s not much in terms of screenshots, but I have started building up a village area, which should pretty up this page until I have something more substantial to give.
